Public department printers

• Soda 384 (print384.cs, lws384; your keycard works on the doors into the office wing after hours)
• Soda 510, HP LaserJet 9000DN (print510.cs, lws510)

If the 510 printer room runs out of paper, steal paper from 384 (bring up a box).

To access either printer, you can use the print server at print.eecs or connect to the printer directly.

If a printer is not working, try power-cycling it; if there is a persistent problem, email printers@cs to get it fixed.

Unfortunately, attempts to cancel a job from the printer may do more harm than good, as print servers like to retry failed jobs. The printer in 510 suffers from a problem common to what seems like every HP printer on earth: tray 2 jams a lot, so don't use it. That's apparently why someone has taken the rather extreme approach of removing the offending tray from the printer.
