Most Cal-related housing information for grad students can be found on the Residential and Student Services Website.
Some people have luck with Cal Rentals. This is not a free service, though it is associated with UC Berkeley.
There's always craigslist.
There is an EECS grad housing mailing list that many people use: eecs-grads-housing@eecs.berkeley.edu.
What do you pay?
People often want to get an idea of what their peers are paying for rent in what neighborhoods. This can be helpful in determining what are the market prices. Feel free to put your info down for others to see:
